We are thrilled to announce that Armis has been recognized as a Sample Vendor in six 2024 Gartner® Hype Cycle™️ reports. We believe this recognition marks a significant milestone for us as we continue to deliver trusted solutions through our Armis Centrix™ platform, ensuring that organizations across the globe can protect their entire attack surface.

Armis is recognized in the following 2024 Hype Cycle reports:

In the six Hype Cycle reports, Armis is recognized as a Sample Vendor in five innovation categories: Exposure Management Assessment, Cyber Asset Attack Surface Management (CAASM), Medical Device Risk Management, Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) Security, and Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) Protection Platforms.

Why We Think This Matters

As attack surfaces grow exponentially and business models evolve, so do the threats facing organizations. Security Leaders struggle to keep up with the challenges inherent in continuously trying to detect, manage, prioritize, and remediate threats. We believe that Armis is at the forefront of addressing these challenges and we continue to evolve the Armis Centrix™ platform to meet the demands of an ever-changing cybersecurity landscape. Our new clients feel confident in deploying Armis, knowing that our solutions are trusted by large, global enterprises. See our customer case studies to read how federal and state governments, smart cities, utilities, transportation, manufacturers, universities, leading hospitals, and pharmaceuticals are leveraging Armis Centrix™ to see, protect, and manage their expanding attack surface.

Understanding the Categories

  • Exposure Assessment Platforms (EAPs): This category is included in the Hype Cycle for Security Operations, 2024, and the Hype Cycle for Managing Operational Technology, 2024. According to Gartner, EAPs “continuously identify and prioritize exposures, such as vulnerabilities and misconfigurations, across a broad range of asset classes. They natively deliver or integrate with discovery capabilities, such as assessment tools that enumerate exposures like vulnerabilities and configuration issues, to increase visibility. We believe Armis is recognized for this category because Armis Centrix™ identifies, deduplicates, prioritizes, and mitigates exposures including vulnerabilities and other security findings across all asset classes including IT, OT, IoT and medical devices whether physical or virtual. Armis is one of the vendors recognized in this category, which we believe underscores our cutting-edge capabilities that have been achieved via organic as well as inorganic growth through the acquisition of CTCI and Silk Security.
  • Cyber Asset Attack Surface Management (CAASM): This category is in the Hype Cycle for Security Operations, 2024 and the Hype Cycle for Workload and Network Security, 2024. According to Gartner, CAASM “focuses on enabling security teams to overcome asset visibility and exposure challenges. It enables organizations to obtain a near-complete view of their assets (internal and external), primarily through API integrations with existing tools, query consolidated data, identify the scope of exposures and gaps in security controls, and mitigate issues.” We feel Armis is recognized for this category because the Armis Centrix™ platform offers a holistic attack surface management strategy that provides organizations with a complete, authoritative, and rich inventory of all assets, software and hardware, across all device types including IT, OT, IoT and medical devices whether physical or virtual. Our network analysis capabilities enable an unmatched depth of discovery and contextualization of assets. Clients leverage Armis Centrix™ to entrich their CMDBs, and for activities including full situational awareness of all assets whether physical or virtual, proactive identification and mitigation of all cyber asset risks, remediation of  vulnerabilities and security findings, blocking of  threats and protection of the entire attack surface.
  • Medical Device Risk Management: This category is in the Hype Cycle for Real-Time Health System Technologies, 2024. According to Gartner, “Medical device risk management ensures that the unique security and safety risks of Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) are effectively mitigated and managed. Due to their very nature of connecting the cyber and physical worlds, IoMT greatly enlarges the threat landscape and consequences for healthcare providers.” HDOs leverage Armis to protect the facilities and their patients from the growing threat landscape targeting medical devices. Offering comprehensive visibility and control, it enables healthcare providers to monitor, manage, and secure their diverse fleet of medical devices with precision and ease. Leveraging advanced policy, anomaly detection and threat intelligence, Armis Centrix™ empowers healthcare organizations to proactively identify and neutralize potential threats, ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance. Armis is also a Representative Vendor in the 2024 Gartner Market Guide for Medical Device Risk Management Platforms.
  • Cyber-physical Systems (CPS) Security: This category is in the Hype Cycle for Security Operations, 2024 and the Hype Cycle for Digital Grid, 2024. Gartner defines CPS Security as “the overall discipline to ensure that CPS remain safe, reliable and resilient in the face of growing threats. CPS are engineered systems that orchestrate sensing, computation, control, networking and analytics to interact with the physical world (including humans). They are created as physical assets become connected to each other or to enterprise IT systems, and as automation and robotic technology assets are deployed.” The Armis Centrix™ product suite for OT Security provides a cutting-edge solution tailored to protect operational technology (OT) and Internet of Things (IoT) devices in industrial, critical infrastructure and enterprise environments. It enables organizations to monitor and manage their OT/IoT ecosystems with precision and efficiency. With its sophisticated policy, anomaly and behavior analysis capabilities, Armis Centrix™ ensures early threat detection and proactive mitigation, minimizing the risk of cyber attacks and operational disruptions.
  • Cyber-physical Systems (CPS) Protection Platforms: This category is in the Hype Cycle for Cyber-Physical Systems Security, 2024. According to Gartner “CPS Protection Platforms discover, categorize, map and protect CPS in production or mission-critical environments outside enterprise IT. To provide this protection, they leverage knowledge of industrial protocols, operational/production network packets or traffic metadata, and physical process asset behavior.” We feel that Armis’ inclusion in this category serves as a testament to the validity of our platform and approach as described above in the CPS Security category.
