• Exposure Assessment Platforms (EAPs): This category is included in the Hype Cycle for Security Operations, 2024, and the Hype Cycle for Managing Operational Technology, 2024. According to Gartner, EAPs “continuously identify and prioritize exposures, such as vulnerabilities and misconfigurations, across a broad range of asset classes. They natively deliver or integrate with discovery capabilities, such as assessment tools that enumerate exposures like vulnerabilities and configuration issues, to increase visibility. To provide this protection, they leverage knowledge of industrial protocols, operational/production network packets or traffic metadata, and physical process asset behavior.” We feel that Armis’ inclusion in this category serves as a testament to the validity of our platform and approach as described above in the CPS Security category.
