Armis is the Top Leader in the 2024 SPARK Matrix™ for Connected Medical Device Security for the 3rd Consecutive Year

Armis is the Top Leader in the 2024 SPARK Matrix™ for Connected Medical Device Security

We are proud to announce that Armis has been named the leader in the 2024 SPARK Matrix™️ for Connected Medical Device Security Solutions by QKS Group (formerly Quadrant Knowledge Systems). For the third consecutive year, Armis has been rated highest in Customer Impact and Technology Excellence.

SPARK Matrix for Connected Medical Device Security Q3, 2024 chart

QKS Group describes a Connected Medical Device Security (CMDS) solution as “a comprehensive solution designed to protect networked medical devices from cyber threats.” This category illustrates the need for a holistic security posture for the entire attack surface and security across every interconnected medical device, including Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) assets, Operational Technology (OT), and Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Effective visibility, management, and security of all of these assets are essential for the continuity of patient care and prevent disruptions that can have catastrophic consequences for patients’ lives.

At Armis, we firmly believe that the tide of ‘medical device security’ as we know it is changing. Our approach to medical device security encompasses the entire attack surface to keep pace with evolving threat methods and frequency. The report recognizes our achievements in device utilization tracking, identification, and management of medical risks such as FDA Recalls and MDS2, combined with an artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning-powered early warning system and a “unified approach to technology risk prioritization and resolution lifecycle management” as key differentiators.

QKS Group Recognizes the Value of Armis Collective Asset Intelligence Engine

The report highlights the capabilities of the Armis Asset Intelligence Engine, which is an asset security data lake that contains profiled data from more than 5 billion assets. According to Mohnish Rathore, Analyst at QKS Group “Armis AI-powered Asset Intelligence Engine enables sophisticated data analysis, ensuring proactive management of security risks and regulatory compliance.” Applying to medical and non-medical devices, the Asset Intelligence Engine is able to contextualize the behavior of assets, identifying devices that are controlling MRI or CT scanners, for example, or identifying unusual traffic patterns from infusion pumps or HVAC systems. These insights are critical for continuous medical device risk management.

Rathore states, “Armis Centrix™ delivers a robust and advanced Medical Device Security platform that offers unparalleled real-time visibility, security, and control over medical device inventory across healthcare environments, including IT, IoT, OT, and medical devices. The platform stands out owing to its comprehensive capabilities, such as detailed contextual insights into device usage to optimize operational efficiency, advanced risk assessment and remediation based on identified vulnerabilities, and automation of security measures for enhanced threat detection and mitigation. Additionally, Armis Centrix™’s AI-powered Asset Intelligence Engine enables sophisticated data analysis, ensuring proactive management of security risks and regulatory compliance.” “Armis has secured strong ratings across technology excellence and customer impact due to these comprehensive features and capabilities, earning its position as a leader in the SPARK Matrix™ Connected Medical Device Security, 2024″

We are very proud to be placed as the top leader on both axes of the SPARK Matrix™: Customer Impact and Technology Excellence. We want to extend our sincere thanks to the Armis customers who took the time to provide feedback on Armis to QKS Group.
